It’s not about “needing” anything. Of course we don’t “need” breast pumps (mom can just quit working for a year), diapers, snot suckers (let alone the Nose Frida), infant tylenol, or baby food in jars.
Sometimes the need is to make parents relax or feel like they’re doing something useful. A lot of these products are for the parents not the baby. Hey whatever gets you through it with both you & the kid alive & unscathed I say.
