I dont see why people are giving Rian Johnson shit... hes the director, not the writer, or the script supervisor, or even in charge of re-writes.

A directors job is to take the screenplay/script and put it on camera using his vision, the story itself is somewhat out of his control.

It not a matter of you not reading every comic, thats impossible. Its just in most comics this is the case in general. And since most of the 1st outings in these movies takes heavily from the comics, its a hurdle you run into.
