I agree that it’s odd they show the fan getting beat up, I just don’t get why they would have a fan run in during the main event (albeit after the match ended), have security tackle him, and have the security team come in, all taking away from the beating they were giving Piper. What would it prove?

I’ve heard that theory but I disagree with it. WCW had people run in all the time. They just had a terrible security team.
