I mean, look at the name. On one hand you can look at “fandom” as just being a pretty standard collective name for fans. But I’ve always noticed the “dom” part because it seems like so often these are the people who want to dominate everyone else.

I definitely have to agree with your fandom take. The term is being a little more widely adopted, but as a general rule of thumb, I think it’s safe to say that people who consider themselves fans of something are usually harmless, while people who consider themselves part of a fandom are usually toxic.

It’s not a good idea for any show to have an all-white cast, but I disagree that in the situation that there is an all-white writing room, they shouldn’t be able to touch #BLM or that they can’t write black characters.
