No qualms with the courts— it is their role to enforce the law, and that’s what is happening.

It’s a whole other thing in terms of scope, perhaps, but not in nature. Utilizing, say, a dependent care savings account similarly helps someone avoid taxes.
The statement also claimed that Ronaldo “knowingly” and “voluntarily” organized his business like this in order to avoid taxation.
I live in Omaha. It was revealed very early on that the officer who tazered him held the tazer down for, like a whole minute, which was already a violation of OPD policy. The policy apparently is you taze once, then if they don’t go down you taze for just one more time, and if they still don’t go down they have to…
Which he has no control over. Isn’t this exactly what a police chief should do in this case?
if anything this series is a refreshing break from Hamilton giving bad financial advice or wrongly and recklessly pushing that more unions would be good for our future... Hamilton gets the byline but other people actually do the work and writing. A win-win.
But what if the charged is themself also a child? I’m not saying it absolves them, it’s horrific, but never giving a second chance to someone for something they did at fifteen (and seem to have stopped... right?) doesn’t seem quite right, either. It’s messy.
What’s the appropriate level of punishment? If I get thrown in jail I lose my job for not showing up to it. If I’m convicted it becomes difficult to get any job. However, it is possible to get one. At what point is a person reformed and deserving of a second chance? A professional athlete isn’t a job quite like any…
What’s the example? If you commit a crime as a kid you can never make anything of yourself even if you serve your sentence, learn from your mistakes, and never do it again?
like, getting prosecuted? oh wait that already happened
It was a bullshit whistle and the Preds lost a legit goal because of it.
I don’t know that this article establishes clearly:
I honestly have no idea where that is.
I’ve lived most of adult life with the firm hypothesis that all men with large neck tattoos are all douche bags.
What’s surprising is the degree of caution and self-honesty that any accomplished soloist needs to cultivate. You don’t last long if you are reckless, or climbing for the wrong reasons, or talking yourself into a solo that you are not ready for. But the good ones — the Honnolds, the Crofts, the Bachars — will wait…
You’re right, the vast majority of people are just happy with a “clean” ascent (i.e., not weighting the rope or protection during climbing) but Honnold just really is into free soloing.
We found love in a ropeless place.
Wow, Trump is actually doing a good thing here. Lets be honest Title IX was created with good intentions but it has been an absolute failure. It was intended to create equal opportunities for women but has been used in a completely destructive manner. basically it has created opportunities for women at the expense…
