Perhaps not in Azkaban specifically, but fans really didn’t love Gambon’s oddly angry take on Dumbledore. The books save the rage for a few good moments, but Gambon would get all weirdly mad - Goblet of Fire was probably the most “offending” example.

I researched R1 last week for the first time since I saw it in theaters, and I loved it. But I get the feeling I loved it more because of whatever Tony Gilroy did to it.

Very well said. I don’t regard Scrubs season 9 as canon (why would you when the Season 8 finale is a perfect series finale??), but I can at least admit the weird “ninth” season or soft spinoff or whatever seemed to have a clearer direction as it went.

The Will and Grace recap podcast - but only the revival.

Boy Meets World transcended its original premise and purpose as a TGIF show and became a much more real, grounded show about kids growing up. It still had plenty of silly nonsense, of course, but I have loved it since it first aired for not being all fluff all the time and getting into some plotlines with weight.

Seriously, I can’t handle Office ladies and their refusal to pretend everything was other than wonderful and sunny for nine seasons.

Did The West Wing Weekly pioneer the format? I struggle to think of other recap pods featuring the original talent before that one.

It’s not a reviewer’s job to be “into” or in favor of the show they are reviewing. It’s their job to review something objectively.

Legitimately the first thing I thought of.

Might want to note it was Elsbeth who first referred to Baylan and Shin as “mercenaries.” She’s the one who didn’t introduce them as equals.

Watched the first four seasons and eventually gave up. The inclusion of the Nauvoo was unexpected and hilarious, like the beginning of Starship Troopers.

I’m a Mormon/Latter-day Saint, and it has been a bonkers few days in this little corner of the zeitgeist since the first Vice article dropped. The Church rarely condemns members publicly, but it issued a rebuke toward Ballard for alleging one of the Church’s apostles supported his initiatives and traded on the

It’s weird to me to see more current artist, such as Perry, doing it. Bob Dylan? Sure. He’s in the twilight of his career and life. Springsteen? Fine. Their biggest hits are behind them, and they know the real money is largely in touring at this point since album streams pay zilch compared to the good ol’ days of

A good rule of writing is not to start subsequent paragraphs with the same word.

This trailer made me say aloud, "Didn't CBS learn anything from the Murphy Brown revival???"

Seriously, what I love so much about Frasier is as I have grown and learned more into my middle years, I find myself understanding random jokes on Frasier that I missed on a previous viewing.

I haven’t a clue why the made Freddie into a fireman of all things. They should have made Freddie grow up into a tightly wound fussbucket academic and have his dad, still a pretentious fool but also wiser after his years with Martin, be around to play off him. Then you still get a Frasier-Niles dynamic, but through a

Someone watched The Fabelmans more than once?

I think I’m fine pretending the only “extra” Star Wars is Rogue One and Andor.

Somehow Thrawn returned.
