I’d be scrambling to try and fix things, to get them to work by trying every tweak in existence. Giving up and getting a refund would feel like defeat. Given what I’ve been reading I’d have little to no chance of success, and would probably have wasted hours of potential gaming time in vain.

I only use the Xbox Controller for the Souls games, so while this is pretty damn cool, there’s no way I can justify spending that kind of cash on a peripheral I’ll use less than 10% of the time I’m gaming.

Except you never did “have” to use guns. At all. Choosing not to do so is what made the experience so memorable. I really wish the developers hadn’t listened to people without the willpower to challenge themselves by not using a feature.
