i don’t love the phrase either (it’s pretty cheesy), but non-parents have to hear about kids, parents, and parenthood all the time; not even the workplace is an escape from it. the world is subjected to a constant barrage of information about kids that aren’t their own, whether they want it or not. so unless someone’s

no, this is gross. not her, but the decision to use this picture as the article header. it’s pretty obvious that a provocative photo taken to showcase cleavage was chosen for clicks, and in using her photos that way, she’s indirectly being reduced to just that in order to bring in clicks and money for someone else

do you know that they’re not doing anything more, like donating? or maybe easier to know: is that where you typically stop?

sounds like a nice guy; rest in peace.

i enjoyed Doki-Doki and i might be misunderstanding which thing you said is taking away player agency, but... reading a warning and deciding if a piece of media is for you is also a part of player/viewer agency. it gives them the choice to decide if they want to experience or not, which is fair. (i’m a big fan of

DoesTheDogDie might have it? i can’t remember if games are included there, though.

surely, i am not the only one with a manager that requires cameras to be on during certain meetings :( . it is dumb, but happening anyway.

you can mute notifications when you’re out of the office/when it is after hours where you are. scheduling messages isn’t a terrible idea as the sender if that’s what you want to do, i guess, but regardless, you can change your settings as the recipient to avoid being woken up or bothered after hours.

kind of on a similar note, i’ve thought about writing/drawing about my mental health journey (for lack of a better term), and when i envision making it and sharing it publicly, this is something i worry about.

exactly! i feel like this would lead to more happy adults and children, so i hope this kind of awareness continues to spread.

plus, i’m certain that every single one of these sites is guilty of using these (especially Jezebel).

but don’t forget the best starting point: why do we want children, and is having children the best/necessary way to reach that goal/outcome?

it’s weird how often this “take” comes up across sites; saw it a lot with Marilyn Manson too. there’s always someone to swoop in and make the dumb comment that, duh! dying your hair, having tattoos, wearing makeup, wearing a tad too much black, means everyone should have expected the worst!*

all i can think of is “taco”, but surely that can’t be it? “taco(s)“ is so short already! then again, so is “pizza”...

the Twitter change was fine and made perfect sense in the “What If...?” context; people are being stupid and Marvel hasn’t somehow forgotten about Sam. if it becomes more long term, then making separate Twitter accounts might make sense, but for now, it’s fine (and extremely unlikely to be permanent).

the subtle ones that really irk me:

if this is all self-admitted stuff, why would he deserve any immunity? play stupid games, and all that.

he mentioned that as inspiration :)

glad he mentioned Sokkuri Sweets, and i hope this is just as fun and silly.

might want to spell her name right (Anjelica Huston) if you’re going to talk about how great you think she is.
