yeah, the more i thought about it, the more i wondered if this could be the beginning of her therapist approach to figuring him out, already; i could see that being a sort of text or experiment just to see what happens or how he reacts. i hated that when a therapist did something similar to me (so maybe that’s also

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not discounting the accomplishments of the team in creating the Alpha Point demo.

i was excited to see Annie Murphy in something new and Mary Hollis Inboden is a delight... but Eric Petersen’s really captured the dopey, buffoon husband (that’s previously been portrayed with more ease by performers that actually seem to think that’s funny/charming). he seems really cool overall, so, another nice

it sounds like a mockery of Black names; when i was growing up, it seemed like “Shaniqua” was used generally in the same way :/ despite being an actual, fine name (while Bon Quisha sounds made up).

man, people really come to these recaps to show their asses and lack of knowledge about abuse, and leaving abusive relationships.

(also basic TV devices, but that’s a whole different barrel...)

hope Dr. Fieldstone starts to fit in a little bit more as the season goes on, though... in the middle of the first episode, and she just seems kind of needlessly rude?

Batwoman and Batgirl are different heroes.

honestly; there were people complaining that In The Heights used an almost all-white-passing cast. the most vocal complainers did all but outright call the cast members white, simply for not being black or dark enough; it was gross.

unless you’re also housing your dish scrubber in the dishwasher, the point about dishwashers is just... gross. the food is going to stay on the scrubber if you don’t use water to rinse it off. besides, some of that food is going to fall into your sink, and you’ll definitely want to rinse that off, unless you want old

there is only one island in the middle; the far surface is a stove/cooking surface, and the near surface is a bar for sitting/eating/drinking at.

But also like what? So it was a love story, in the very traditional heteronormative sense? After we just established Loki’s queerness?

it’s a Jez clown; any chance to disparage white, cis, or straight people is a virtue-signaling opportunity they won’t pass up, so that everyone really knows they’re a cool ally 🙄 best to dismiss when you can; a different flavor of troll.

no self diagnosis but, i can say that excessive sun does feel aggravating, even from indoors. it’s like being in a room with too-bright lights, and combined with the heat and inevitable sunburn... egh.

Why was Sylvie introduced as a patient, ruthless master planner only to be depicted as a petulant, impatient hothead ever since?

i recently rewatched both with a friend, and agreed that season 2 is better; the suspense involved was also keyed up quite a bit. i hope the show/people involved get their due eventually.

i was so sure it would get a nomination this time. i could understand maybe being under the radar on season one, but season two was incredible. really, really disappointing that it’s not getting more recognition (and yeah, it’s probably due to being on Apple TV+).

neurodiversity is important... but respecting everyone’s voice and time is also important, and establishing a neutral-to-friendly structure is a good way to give everyone time to speak up and participate. “Be candid and direct” seems harsh, but the other tips are pretty benign.

mandatory muting on Zoom calls is helpful

i have learned, through experience, that babies also love brightly colored hair <3 (probably for the same reasons listed above re: clothing). i don’t want kids ever ever ever, but making babies laugh and smile is always a win.

it took me a few read-throughs too... 7 kids total, but 4 born this year, i think.
