genuinely enjoyed the food coming and going from Japan (via ANA). i don’t remember all of the dishes since it’s been a while, but there was a really tasty curry rice that i think back on fondly. i think there was also a fish and rice dish that i quite enjoyed.

parting with it for good really is liberating and worth consideration, though.

definitely a thing with some bloggers here... i saw an article that used “anodyne” repeatedly in place of something more familiar... i wondered if the blogger had just learned it, and felt so proud of themselves that they just had to shoehorn it in.

the show didn’t get a lot of mentions here, but i loved the pilot of The Magicians too.

it’s really just a maybe on the nipple jewelry... those are pretty common, IME (in terms of what jewelry people choose to wear). it could have been “special”, chosen for that evening, but she could have just been wearing it because she personally liked it/wanted to (without taking any exposure into consideration).

i had the same thought. granted, it was on Instagram (so maybe, grain of salt), but i saw a quick kitchen tips video showing someone successfully doing this with the bottom of a ladle.

amazingly, the same people turn around and complain that it was all too easy, there was nothing exciting about the story, no fun reveals, etc. etc.

yikes; this is a lot of upset and resentment towards a television show. maybe it’s better not to watch.

the opening scene was heartbreaking; beautiful acting, and another angle of insight into the damage done by what Bucky went through, from brainwashing to recovery.

i hope the next set is Blathers and Celeste!

really just sounds like the overlap between a margarita and mexican martini, with a different brine.

this! she seems pretty cool and creative, so this would be neat.

i’m starting to get the impression that for some people around here, not even something as extreme as Wanda dying at the hands of the townspeople would be enough.

the show just ended; it’s weird to expect that she won’t meet any consequences in the future for what she’s done. (also weird not to acknowledge that in cleaning up her mess, she experienced very real losses again. it’s not as if she just got everything she wanted and walked away; she absolutely did suffer for her

no, it wasn’t hard to see Wanda’s actions as bad; even Wanda is very clearly aware. similar arguments have come up in the past re: leading women, but just like Daenerys never made a heel turn, and just like Jessica Jones was never presented as a perfect heroine to emulate, Wanda was never presented as a hero.

TOTO Washlets <3

it depends on the model, but: lighted bowl, slow-close lid, auto-flush, heated seat, optional bidet rinse; so many benefits.

seems most people are mad that their point was prefaced by a tired, misogynist joke/mindset (and invited commentary from some fools that genuinely agreed with that statement).

there are a lot of comments following the finale that basically boil down to just enthusiastically, desperately wanting Wanda (an understandably grieving woman) to suffer more and hate herself more.

oh, thank you! i saw that and was trying to find the connection, and this makes sense.
