not the OP, but this is something i’d edit in to my original comment, if i could:

agreed; even with relatively normal names, honest-mistake mispronunciations happen. my given name is also an Irish surname, and there’s only a 50/50 chance that people say or spell it right. it still gets misspelled in email replies where my name listed right there as the sender which seems wild to me. i do use a

even if it isn’t, it seems like a pretty token gesture, IMO :/ hopefully people doing this aren’t stopping at “changed my watch face”.

interested in the answer(s) to this as well... not long after the VP debates, someone referenced a gif of Kamala Harris, noting in a few words that her smile during the debate with Pence was a familiar face/expression to women worldwide that had to maintain a certain friendly disposition in order to be more

Their name is 69fartsniffer, and you read their name, and their next comment after they roasted you is them giggling like a little schoolgirl.

the musical performances were enjoyable, but i couldn’t stop watching the sign language interpreters either; they, too, were a joy to watch!

it’s just about the drama; sensibility isn’t click-worthy, so it’s not particularly welcome here.

visiting Japan spoiled me on a few things... these piqued my curiosity, and i fell in love after trying them: https://japanhaul.com/products/tough-gummies-fruit-mix?variant=14698297557044

also, baumkuchen (!) and BOSS Coffee. you can order the gummies online and find some of the cake/coffee in stores in the US, but not

a bit of a tangential topic, but... there’s been some criticism directed at people who took his words seriously and/or didn’t care for his apology.

this is what i did. i bought one because it was new to me and seemed like it would be a fun challenge. the cookies i tried making with it weren’t great, but the vodka turned out pretty good.

seems like she, too, is a clown.

this. there are definitely a lot of unhinged people who take game reviews and criticism too seriously, but there are bad reviews and takes out there too that earn the reasonable criticism they receive. there was a lot about that specific article that didn’t make sense, aside from the critique of how the game handled

i didn’t know about it until this article either, since i haven’t been that invested in news about it and most things i’ve accidentally stumbled across are just trailers or talk of other features.

it takes some organizing to do remotely, but the JackBox games can be a lot of fun with the right group. Among Us has been popular lately too.

maybe i’m just cheap! haha. i’m definitely not social at work. but, your response is a good one (and yes, i’d say it’s pointless in those cases).

frankly, there’s not enough pink.

“Video chats are awkward”... except, don’t most smaller teams have smaller meetings already, where some banter/rapport/small talk will occur? i work for a pretty lax company, but even in more “normal” corporate settings, it seems like that’s fairly common.

i have no doubt that these people are racist, but these are odd things to hold up as proof of it. surely, there are better examples?

i didn’t watch it too closely, but in some scenes, the placing of the “creases” looked more like scars or cuts to me. i’m not a hardcore fan so i could be wrong, but if she’s running around fighting a lot now (on top of all previous fighting), that’s not out of place, IMO.

i miss the wide array of rice balls/bento in Japan :( both are gaining popularity in the USA, but still not nearly that common.
