@nutbastard: If you are logged in and have set your zip code (google), then you can just type weather to get there faster.

@matthewabel: Hard drives are typically better. They provide more storage space, are cheaper, and don't have the limited write issue. The CPU is almost always the bottleneck.

@Eriamjh: For my first semester of college I managed to have no classes on Mondays. I will agree that those are more important to have off than Fridays. I could enjoy my entire weekend without having to worry about schoolwork due first thing in the morning.

@infmom: I had the same issue when I got my motorcycle license. I woke up and took a shower before rushing over. They made sure to turn the "Use multiple effects" setting on for mine.

@Windcape: There is no need to spend money on a card when you can just sign in with a .edu address to get the same software for free. I got Windows Server licenses that way.

@RXBanditO: It's hard to imagine you're ripping that many movies. I only have about a hundred that I'm in the process of ripping and it's giving me nightmares.

@valmorphorize: Leaving your wireless unsecured may not be illegal (where would that be?), but it does not provide you deniability. With MAC addresses being so easy to change, it's as simple as switching it when they knock on your door.

@Trystian: The issue with unsecured wifi is that it is not like leaving the car with the keys in it. Their wifi is parked in your garage.

@Lactose_The_Intolerant: That wallpaper seems very fake to me. There are some parts of the picture that are extremely clear, yet many other parts are horribly blurred, and there seems to be no pattern to what is clear versus what is blurred.

I have that similar lamp; the lamp in the foreground of the first picture. It smells like camel dung and the smell gets worse as it heats up.

@greatslack: The laptop was added to the white table, the tv was replaced by speakers. This could actually be one of those difference spotting picture games.

@jorgtron: Virus doesn't come from Latin. Vir, meaning man does. Knock off one of those I's and you get "Viri," which means men.

@dreamscapesoftware: XBoot has the option to download ISOs. I count ten different anti-virus cd's on there. One of which is the AVG as seen in another post. [lifehacker.com]

@Arvin Dang: Assuming that Indian Idol is the equivalent to American Idol, this is where the flexible ethics kicks in. Everything international is expensive except for the internet.

@Gabe Shi: I've been doing this for a very long time. It also means I can easily slow down, speed up, or stop depending on what I'm reading at the moment.

@Chris Gannon: There is an option in TED to not download files with certain extensions under Preferences-Advanced. You can use it to block zipped extensions.

@NoOneSpecific: I have been running my old laptop as a DVD ripper for the last couple of days. It takes multiple hours (usually 4) to finish ripping and encoding. My laptop gets very hot by the time it finishes. I'd not like to burn my house down while I sleep, so turning it off after the task is complete is

For those suggesting to fill the trash can with water, don't. Seeing as how rats can tread water for hours on end, you're just wasting water and making a bigger mess.

@WilyFox: I am currently using an SSD, and would suggest that you consider a smaller sized one since you already have space to do a hybrid.
