I would go this route, but would suggest a Toyota Matrix or Pontiac Vibe, ticks all the boxes above, but has Toyota reliability and can haul a set of tires and wheels to and from the track, take it there run it hard and put it away wet.

I was thinking along these lines, too. I’d probably look for a Neon or Cobalt.

I would get one, but I’m concerned that I would suddenly get the impulse to limo tint the windows, plastidip the wheels black, and drive 98mph literally everywhere I go while also having no insurance.

We rented plenty of Fusions 1.1 (post facelift), and loved them

At my work we have the generation before this one, hybrids. Basic and incognito, and really nice to drive even in fleet livery. First non-Prius hybrid I ever drove, and convinced me that maybe hybrids weren’t all bad.

Step 1: buy house

Hertz should be charged for every false claim, just like citizens. Put a manager in jail 2 days for every day a customer spends in jail.

Ten stars to you for that green!!!

I’m on the fence about the 718 too. Part of me is like “just buy the Boxster 4.0 and call it a day”. Another part of me is like “… but the new Lotus Emira!”.

I pity whoever had to park next to those loooong front doors.

Before purchasing my 2018 Dodge Challenger GT awd I seriously considered a ATS 2.0T coupe with either the manual or auto. It’s a nice driving and handling vehicle however the interior particularly the instrument cluster is subpar compared to the FCA product. Plus the Uconnect 8.4 with the Alpine sound is flawless.

Wait now I’m invested. So happy family, parents are secretly in a cult that sacrifices his first born to the devil. Family holds funeral for apparent first born, that gets reincarnated as a man down on his luck, who turns nerd to hide his secret identity. Time passes, gets an email for acceptance to yale, time passes,

Whatever engine is in the rental I am taking to track day.

Every truck today is trying way, way too hard.

Could not agree more. A friend had one of the ultra-luxe versions, and while it was absolutely beautiful and had some very cool features (the back window rolled down completely, which I thought was great), it was massively expensive and a gas-guzzler beyond all reason.

Wasn’t Nissan going after the budget buyer? I thought the Titan was like 10k less than a comparable Toyota/BIG3 competitor?

Ram comment on point. LOL.
