I’d throw Saab into the ring. They were developing engines and technology used in the rest of the GM lineup when the Great Recession hit and got the axe because of it. The Saab-developed 2.8T V6 was also used in the more popular Cadillac SRX.

Unfortunately, the SE-R was a unicorn. Not to mention, Sentra drivers are some of the most… um… inattentive and unpredictable drivers on the road. The only drivers that are worse are those in Altimas. The stigma is well earned.

The first time I raced against an SE-R it surprised the hell out of me. Definitely not just a regular Sentra.

YES!  I was going to put this one up.  100% absolutely!!

The Mr2 Spyder was a solid competitor to the Miata in both performance and price, but completely flopped because it was so radically different from the second gen MR2.

I’ll

using another example, Subaru, if you look at a a Certified Pre-Owned that is within a year or two of the age of a new car, the CPO warranty is just a balance of 7 yr / 100,000 powertrain warranty and whatever is left of the original 3/36, BUT the cost to upgrade that powertrain to match the coverage of a new car

I 3rd this idea.

I 2nd this idea: I’ve even dreamed about doing the swap!

As a DE native, I’m at least glad you spelled it right.

“Dead Hookers from Rehoboth” would be an outstanding band name.

Have you driven one? I remember years ago driving my cousin’s BRZ and I had the same opinion until I drove it.

The upholstery patterns are just so very 90s that I can’t vote NP no matter how much the asking might be. Only way it could be worse is if it was that teal/purple swooshy cup pattern. You know the one.

What is the lowest credit score and gross monthly income for which Mitsubishi will guarantee financing? How much negative equity can I roll into the loan?  What is the resulting monthly payment when financed for 84 months?

The Supra needs a manual gearbox option.

Agreed here, w/ the MR-S they could honestly drop the spare tire, put in a 2kw lithium battery, add a mild hybrid motor generator, throw in a 3-CYL G16E-GTS from the GR Yaris, and destroy the track.

Agreed on all counts. As much as people like the SW20, the ZZW30 was the best driver’s car of the three, and that’s what I’d want to see most from a 4th gen MR2.

At least his son wasn’t as big of a screwup as the one who ordered the extra letters that ended up on the Merkur XR4Ti

You are almost right, although not for the reasons you might expect. The car was to be named The Thoroughly Thought Through, unfortunately the young man tasked with ordering the badges fell of his bicycle on the way to work, badly chipping his front teeth. It was partially botched orthodontic treatment that led to the

The car I learned to drive on did that.  But every time you hit a bump it would dog track the other direction.  Never struggled with being sleepy on the highway.
