Cheers to Southside, RVA native. Yeah, you don’t need AWD or snow tires as much when things are generally flat. 4WD was for those going out rootin’ or any other fun in the mud.

They both are. A lot of things ride on the GA-K platform - including the Camry. The Venza and RX have been adapted versions of the Toyota Harrier. The Highlander also rides the platform and is basically the extended length version. The RX 450h L is the Highlander.
It depends on where in Colorado they are travelling and the nature of their work. If they have to head west up the mountain in an “essential” position, yeah, they might need it.
This. Or save a few and get the twin Toyota Venza. The difference is more the “Lexus tech” than the ride quality.
That is still like 900 more pounds than my MR2.
Hey MPO/Transpo folks.
Folks want the lvl3 capacity... not the actually engineering to get it done. If lvl3 speeds were available even at twice lvl2 price (and without utility approval), it would be the most popular home mod (and apt mod). If lvl3 capacity is at home, much of the public chargers becomes moot.
Silicon Valley is a different bubble of existence. My guess is that you don’t faster charging at home if you have it elsewhere. Not all places have EV charging, especially in places where the larges town is still under 10K folks.
By census designation, yes. 70%+ of VMT tend to be in urbanized (aka & subsidized) areas. I live in an area (NC) that is more than 70% urbanized. 70% identify as RURAL. Figure that one out. Rural still account for about 40% of VMT despite fewer trips....
Incorrect. Many (most perhaps) states have a EV road use tax that is often much higher than a what a mid-sized sedan would use via a fuel tax. So it assumes you are driving the EV more than 30-40K a year.
No, folks want Lvl3 speed/capacity. Even at home. Cost is prohibitive but that is what the consumer expects speed whose expect from “refueling”.
Not for what they offer. A big box, you aren’t beating them by much.
Most folks want Lvl3 speed/capacity. Overkill, but folks don’t want to wait hours... even overnight. Not saying they need lvl3 specifically but they want lvl3 speeds. That is the tipping point speed/capacity item.
The Ford Transit Connect has a host of build/reliability issues. But the Fiat Promaster City makes them look like a early 90s Toyota.
