I saw "Alien" in the theater at the tender age of 10. This was after WEEKS of begging my mom to take me. I think she was more scared than I was.

I hear Neill Blomkamp's Alien 5 will ignore the 3rd and 4th movies, if it ever gets made. While I don't have those two as much as most people I think this is fantastic news. Killing off Newt and Hicks was such a fucking boneheaded move.

Yeah, my mom loves Firefly and BSG but she gave up on Expanse because she couldn't understand the dialogue. It probably also didn't help that they REALLY don't spoon feed the premise to you.
