Oh, sure, I just don't think she got it off Sweeney is all. Existing personality traits are just coming more to the fore now that she has the scope to express them.

That's my guess.

We got a pretty good eyeful when he took that bath, but yes. I was expecting SOMETHING when Mr. Nancy told him to try the shirt on.

I want more buffalo and I can't wait for the thunderbirds.

She was already like that.

I also felt the Odin reveal was a little over the top. I think maybe more people than we think wouldn't have twigged that he's Odin and so for them it's not anticlimactic, but for those of us who know I think it served as a nice peg for Shadow's conversion. It's climactic for Shadow, even if it isn't for us.

God that'd be sweet.

I think in the end Bilquis was going where she was told to go. My bet is that Technical Boy wants her to eat Shadow (no idea, none of that is in the book, just my guess). But what she'll do when she gets there is totally up for grabs, I think.

The wallpaper in Mr Nancy's place was also very Hannibal.

As for Bilquis, I think the concerns outlined here are absolutely valid, and I'm really hoping that if she's heading to intercept Shadow and the rest of them we will get to see her hold a conversation with someone.

From the way they've talked about it, I think this episode was going to be like this even before they'd decided to push the original finale to the start of Season 2, but they may well have pumped it up further because of that.

Oh for sure, and most of those hints are there in the book as well. I'm thinking maybe they thought they had to go further for a television audience, among other possible reasons I can think of.

At one point in the US Christmas was illegal because it was too pagan!

It's been pretty obvious from the way Fuller and Green talk about Badaki that they were never going to kill her off that fast. They love her and want to keep her around, to which I say hear hear.

I had this nitpick too, but I get what Emily is saying.

I think that's probably right, and ISIS is a great example of the phenomenon.

As some have pointed out before, groups like ISIS insisting that they have to destroy pre Islamic artifacts in the name of returning to pure Islam becomes obvious bullshit when you realize that those things are still there because all past generations of Muslims, including the founding one, didn't see a need to

Jesus was like those people who have just come back from the International Space Station and have forgotten they can't just leave things in midair!

It's because Media knocked his teeth out, I thought. But yeah, of course they made it as obnoxious as possible.

I dunno what kind of chavs you're running into
