The stag, tbh

I mean, looking at it that's what I thought. Definitely looked like mounting to me. I dunno if that's what snails do but it got the point across.

Snails represent death in the Bible and rebirth in medieval art, so there's that.

I have to assume the meal he brought to her house was people even though it wasn't Abigail. He was soooooo invested in her eating it. And she was so deliberate and weird about how she put off eating it, then ate it with relish.

Bedelia literally said their relationship was love, I mean.

I will still be laughing next year at that title.

It's so weird. I keep seeing this sentiment but I feel like we've gotten loads?

Try the priest

But I, Hannibal, the cannibal king, have grown so tired of the same…old…thing.

Those wings tho!

Wasn't Hannibal's corpse angel (unless I misunderstand what you're referring to); it was that guy with brain cancer. But what he longed for was transformation too, and Will hallucinated him talking about transforming Will, so it all connects back nicely anyway. I definitely thought of it too, especially with the shot

They've been talking about transformation since mid season two. It's become a backbone theme of the whole series before those canon characters are even introduced. When they are, it'll resonate like hell.

There's no point trying to diagnose Will as anything just like there's no point trying to diagnose Hannibal as anything. It's visual symbolism mediated (often, perhaps not always) through Will's unique imagination.

They keep telling us about Will's imagination. We're seeing it. This is how the show can tell its story visually and symbolically to the degree it does. Interpreting those images as literal hallucinations in the sense of illness is beside the point after season one.

FOR REAL.

I don't think so, at least not all of them. Abigail was definitely one. I don't think Randall Tier was.

I thought she was oscillating between disturbed and amused.

Couple beers, and a salad of mint, parsley, pomegranate, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and browned halloumi (I seem to always eat something halloumi based on Thursdays this season!).

Will do!

Truly, it was the best of times.
