I have been lurking on this site for years now. This site has had its ups and downs, but I stay because there is still some glimmer of Jalopnik that I loved (shoutout to Mercedes Streeter!).
This article isn’t just research-lite, but it goes against the very definition of Jalop. I never thought I’d ever see an article

Yes, that was exactly my first thought. We’ll played, @Daniel Golson, well played. You almost had me.

I actually really like the Ioniq 5N, and respect Hyundai for being honest about what the 5N is, and doesn’t pretend 5N is something more than it really is.
There’s a lot of people on this forum that lament the demise of honest, analog cars that transparently communicate what’s going on. The past 10-15 years, cars have

Im not sure ive ever read an article i disagree with more. Im an EV proponent and excited for the Boxster EV but you just complained about all the things i actually love about a boxster. Hopefully lots of people have your opinion and i can get a last gen bosxter manual used for cheap.

The pop-out cupholders suck, which likely makes the car a non-starter for a lot of customers.

Also what kind of automotive journalist complains about driving a manual in the city. Maybe stick to reviewing crossover SUVs if driving a manual in traffic (with all those fancy assistance technology too!) is too hard.

You should both drive an S2000. It is the best shifter in any car.

It is a fantastic manual transmission, one of the best I’ve ever used for sure.

My 2011 Acura TSX has a 6 Speed manual with no auto rev-matching or other fancy aids. My 1992 Toyota MR2 turbo has a 5 speed manual with no auto-rev matching or other fancy aids. I’ve never wished either car were an auto. Not on a back road. Not in traffic. Not looking forward to an automatic Boxster, whether electric

I can’t speak for the real world improvements of the new engine.

Hi... I hate manual transmissions. Can I write an article about the 718? This reminds me why I hate Jalopnik and the kids that write for it.

See, this is the thinking of a man who doesn’t get porsche owners.

One of the last manual vehicles left.

What exactly isn’t “Practical” about it? it’ll get you from point A - B in EV mode for what like 40 miles? which is great, it’s smaller so it’s easier to park and maneuver in the city, it has sizable trunk space. What more is considered practical?

It allows you to sleep inside the vehicle and up off the ground, which is nice for when it rains, there’s no chance of your tent flooding. It’s also more comfortable if the place you’re camping has rocky/hard ground. Having your vehicle turn into a tent is nice because it allows for ventilation without letting bugs in

I’m guessing this being a Porsche Branded product, that you could rent a vacation home for about a month for the same money.

Extremely reliable, but lagged the competition in power and fuel economy.

Just like the roof top tents I don’t get what you get by attaching this to the car? Why not just have a much cheaper and better Canopy tent that you can drive away from?

This is a coming from a guy that turned his element into an RV, but building a sleeping platform and a desk in the back. Cars make for horrible

Gosh, remember when Toyota was the gold standard when it came to vehicle quality?

Former Volt owner here.
I would want to know about the battery. We had a 2011 Volt, the first gen and the battery was more or else dead at 11 years and 150,000 miles and would have needed a replacement. A remanufactured unit was $5,000 installed. This Cadillac is one year shy of the redesign of the drivetrain which
