Didn’t know Nico Parker was Thandie Newton’s daughter, but I can definitely see the resemblance. She certainly inherited some of her mom’s acting chops, she was spectacular.

The beginning of the game is soul crushingly well acted.

I knew that death was coming because there are only two names in the main credits of the show... and Nico Parker wasn’t one of them. I assumed she woulda been infected by the neighbors (and maybe she was anyway) but the way it happened wasn’t any less gutting.

I knew it was coming from game experience and genre conventions but damn did Pedro sell it like no tomorrow thus getting to me anyway.

It’s also left on the table for later in the series, when discovering that people can get infected through spores, and not just contact with mycelia, could be a dramatic escalation of danger for the characters.
