I’m still pretty sure recognition is a long form troll.  Their posts can get fairly extreme at times.  Literally zero shades of grey in their thought process.  

Like “black people” are a hive-mind. That’e the whole fucking issues, individuals on twitter thinking they are general consensus on things cause they yell a lot. Loudest voice wins.

It also sucks when a single person or a minority of persons proclaim to speak for the entire group.

It’s not at all clear to me that it’s “black people” setting the boundary here.  At best, it seems to be a subset of black people who are particularly assertive about supposed appropriation.  I’m not sure that we should be deferring to a small subset of the group we’re supposedly protecting here.

I don’t think he is racist. I do think he is a believer in latching onto the most hardline progressive viewpoint available at any given moment without applying a lot of examination to it. But it’s a fool’s errand. She could easily turn around and call out Black artists like RZA and Kendrick Lamar for appropriating Chinese culture. And she’d be right.
