I think it would have been really cool to either have a hospital episode focused on her, letting Carmy come to visit her in the cafeteria; or a whole episode focused on food in a hospital and letting Claire be more visible throughout, to keep it on theme for the series. Idk how you would execute it, but in a more

I’ve commented this before on other slideshows, but just posting the results with no commentary is comically lazy. At least if there were some input from the author on the rankings, this wouldn’t feel like such a mandated piece from on high.

From what I saw of the series, she actually seemed like more of a whole person than just an idea. Obviously since the perspective is through that of the chefs, you probably won’t spend a lot of solo screen time on those in their orbit. But Claire made time for Carmy in the midst of her own crazy schedule when she

He was. His name popped up when Gravik was scanning through the DNA in the Harvest.

Follow the nutty

I know this is about the community’s thoughts, but one thing that annoys me about slideshows like this is how the author does not really provide much valuable commentary on the selections here. It would be nice to have some of their perspective on each vehicle, along with some high-level spec info. C&D’s lists are

Twitter could have had a ready-to-go competitor going a long time ago (since they own Vine) but apparently that didn’t occur to them.

Well since you’re prepared...

In hindsight, much of the criticisms around this film have been valid to me. I generally think Snyder never quite earned the feeling from that brilliant trailer, or even that flight sequence when he gets the suit. The sentiment people often look for was here and there in scenes, but generally the movie is too grim in

Wow I never put together that this was him. Nice bit of trivia, that.

H-Town holdin it down

I too hated what I saw in Zeta and dropped it for the same reasons you listed. It just wasn’t worth my time (not that I think the rest of Gundam is generally all that amazing but still).

I predict that - should this technology proliferate into mainstream adoption, not just awareness - there will be outrage amongst a certain pocket of artists and fans for a period, until an artist uses the technology themselves a la T-Pain with autotune. It may be panned by “purists” and critics, but if an artist

That’s my take as well. The fact that House Slytherin is still there rings authentic to the human experience.

Ponderous is right, the first one was trying so hard to “have something to say” and making the whole flick feel like work. I don’t look forward to seeing Gaga drawn into such a version of this world either.

In fairness, Sorceror’s Stone came out in 2001 so. We’re past the threshold.

Yeah it looks like it’s competing with Aya more than Valve

That saying in and of itself makes no sense. The cover of a book is literally a marketing tool to get you to check it out. How else would it work if you don’t judge the merits of the cover and the accompanying text alongside it?

I would say that also seems less risky by comparison, since that character was more a known quantity (I mean, this is who “gave us” Ultron in the original comics) so fans were probably receptive from the jump. But generally yeah, that kind of character is a risk to a mass audience.

I hesitate to include Eternals just because they seemed to stuff that cast with recognizable faces, but generally I agree.
