Some directors misunderstand their material and how to use their style to apply it - Snyder’s DC Universe

My friends give me so much crap every time they see my Discord status show me boot up the OG RCT, but I don’t care. The older I get, the more I love revisiting those systems and making them work on modern machines. And now that I understand the technical achievement the game was, I love it all the more.

This feels more like an attempt to normalize boring life hacks to a younger audience that may need them someday. There is something to be said about meeting people where they’re at, akin to discussing the wonderful world of accounting at the proverbial bar.

I find it nearly impossible to get through any Breakfast Club interview because I find them to be a mess, so I’ll trust your take here.

You can be racist all you like - in your head. The minute your point of view comes out, though, it is open for confrontation. And while this woman may not be overtly racist, her response to this man’s confrontation is harmful, for it diminishes the employee’s experience and perspective. Not all racism is cross

God that story is infuriating. If anyone needs proof of how money and power overrule ethics and personal responsibility, just pay attention to Badass Barrera over here. Or the history of the U.S. Or, you know, the history of civilization in general.

It’s always tough, if nigh impossible, to prove a negative. So I feel for you here.

I understand content leaving HBO. Those contracts existed well before the release of this app, and rotation is par for the course for them.

This whole bit is trash but the headline kills me:

Others have responded to this rhetoric (likely better than I can) but I’ll bite (TL;DR at the end):

Merriam-Webster defines “matter,” as a verb:

It’s this brain-dead garbage that let’s us know who’s really listening and who’s not.

People really try to roll MLK out for promoting non-violence and trucks, not realizing the complexity of his understanding of civics and sociology. Great quote.

Totally get it. As long as it doesn’t poison you, get your licks in.

Your attempt to engage this toxicity with authenticity is admirable, but you will do yourself no favors here my friend. We have better uses of our energy and time in this moment, and this pop tart deserves none of yours.

That’s also fair. Seeing reality for what it truly is can be terrifying, but oftentimes the most valuable thing we can do. Perhaps their fantasy pairing fails in practice.

There are already plenty of great answers here (in addition to what the doc said), but since it’s in vogue to quote the classics: Open your water chakra, LW3.

Great response. My initial reaction was similar, that it had less to do with the stress of the pandemic and more to do with the level of intimacy that constant proximity with each other can bring. This is especially pronounced due to COVID-19, but I think an even bigger factor is that their relationship is so young.
