Great info! Kotaku should do an article on this haha. I wonder if something similar can be done with the 3DS...though that region lock might be hardware- rather than software-based.

I've posted this before on TAY, but I love the hell out of my Zelda 3DS XL as well as the custom leather case my lady made for it. Would recommend this handheld to anyone who can get their hands on one, it's just so well put together:
Yeah, I doubt the developers were intentionally designing the layout and the systems to reflect this philosophy, but despite some of the tasteless accents, in hindsight, that core idea stood out to me pretty sharply. Definitely agree with your assessment about Greek mythology, and I think they captured those heroes…
Apparently someone cut them together into a single high quality video here:
Just found it online. Thanks for the heads up!
Also, if you're interested, here's a great video from Errant Signal that I think Kotaku posted awhile back about how games reflect depth, meaning, and beliefs just by their design (because we're humans and all that).

Fixed that for ya
If you want to see the extent of their staged events and vacant businesses, you should check out Vice's documentary on their experience in North Korea. I've watched it three times over, and it's always amazed me.
My personal favorite is plugging in DDR pads into a PS2 and playing Budokai 3.
