Especially since he made his fortune being in the EV business they hate so much and space exploration/rockets which they don’t believe to be possible because of the “dome” over the flat earth.

It’s about establishing precedent so that the next time someone tries this, they can swat it down a lot quicker and harder. Or if not, find the limits of the current laws so that new ones can be passed to cover the loopholes.
The way the right wing embraces everything Musk does now while simultaneously being utterly triggered by the very word “SOROS” is just bizarre.
That’s the part that I’ve been so frustrated by Trump and the Media since 2016.
Something / anything must be done. Hopefully the punitive damages awarded will be hundreds of millions $$$ to set an example what Musk’s psycho hubris has cost him.
I wish I could be this guy or gal...but I just can’t shake the value part of car ownership from my mind. Every time I buy a car I care about (current e46 M3) I get worried about putting too many miles on it. Even when I try to force myself to buy a car I don’t care as much about (current e91 328xi wagon) I start doing…
How many children did it eat? LOL, but I think this might be one of the few “fast car slow exceptions”. The only car I have heard regularly described as more terrifying to drive, is a high HP Cobra
Yep, similar build materials for sure. But one looks like it was designed as well as they could. The other, I don’t even know if we can call it designed. Looks more like they just made it as they went and when they got to the end, called it good enough.
It was. The Viper was definitely a parts-bin special.
Yeah. I mean the Miata also had a hard plastic interior, but at least it looked like somebody actually took pride in designing it. Whereas the Viper looked like it was designed by the same guy who designed the interior of all their other rental specials, and the grey plastic looks like it was poured out of the same…
I forgot just how terrible the interior on these things is. My ‘92vMiata was way nicer on the inside than that disaster
The Honest Ad About Vipers (I’m sure you’ve read it)
Right those first gen cars were actively trying to kill you every time you drove it.
With these, it isn’t so much mechanical breakdown, but rather the probability of wrapping them around a tree.
I can’t imagine spending that much time in one.
It’s already shorted somewhere, and it’ll eventually be shorted everywhere, but it seems like shorting it a lot in a short time with a drill could still have downsides.
I am going to assume the Hyundai EV team did not overlook such an obvious detail.
Won’t drilling into the battery short everything in it’s path and just cause a much more intense fire?
That’s pretty cool. I think I have seen something similar for structure fires to punch through a door and spray water.
To be fair, he’s also telling us what this system really is
