The biggest difference I see is accessibility. Takes almost no effort to connect with these people online, vs having to seek out physical contact with those you mentioned. As for how that makes the relationship differ, I can’t say; probably not much different in terms of psychological effects.

Good for her! I didn’t realize she’s been doing it for so long. I’ve been in my current desk job for the same amount of time and that is definitely losing its luster. I’m not an extrovert so I can’t imagine having to be “on” for my job, that sounds utterly exhausting.

Unless a driver actually gets nasty over the radio (and ‘idiot’ isn’t nasty), then I put no stock into what they say. So many armchair experts have to weigh in, acting like the start of an F1 race isn’t stressful and adrenaline-fueled.
