Eh, I figured as much but I didn’t see a link to the rules to double check first. But agreed with booouurns, Lewis and Seb are big enough to not give a shit. At least some of the time.

I’d heard that someone along the way decided to dub all foreign-language audio with a sanitized Siri-esque voiceover that totally stripped the emotion away from the series [...but] I didn’t have that when I watched the series on Amazon.

The first requires that all podium ceremonies and post-race interviews be conducted with drivers wearing their driving suits “done up to the neck, not opened to the waist” which is a bullshit way of preventing drivers from wearing protest t-shirts under their suits.

Cool graphics for sure. Another interesting thing about the MotoGP era that isn’t fully shown in the championships are the fact that MotoGP was dominated by the “aliens”: Valentino Rossi, Dani Pedrosa, Casey Stoner, and Jorge Lorenzo. And when I say dominated, I mean it. Between 2008 and 2012, one of these guys won

Since I don’t anticipate a Jalopnik article on it, here’s my review of the Amazon’s series MotoGP Unlimited: don’t watch it. They DUB OVER THE AUDIO of riders talking in their native tongue, and there is no way to disable this. The line reading is awful, and you can still hear them speaking their normal language in

Judge’ll probably go easy on him, doesn’t want one of these: https://v.redd.it/0u3yaj180il61

Perhaps the most delicious part of this saga is the fact that Christian Horner, Red Bull Racing team principal, has claimed that Mercedes’ changes go against the “spirit of the regulations”

Maybe they edited after your comment, but right now it starts with saying it’s a “defective valve heater”.

There are a few contenders for sure. There was Paul Belmondo, a true pay driver who only qualified for 5 out of 11 races in ‘92. Not quite a full season, because he didn’t want to keep spending that kind of money. Came back in ‘94 with an even worse team and only qualified for 2 out of 16 races.

This is similar to those who wanted Kapernick to “keep politics out of the NFL”, but also get a rager for fighter jets flying over the stadium.

I was worried for y’all when I first saw the strike news, but super stoked it worked out seemingly so well for everyone. Companies do everything in their power to look out for their own corporate interests, employees need to focus on themselves. Can’t trust a company out there to do the same.

In previous years, drivers complained extensively about Pirelli’s tire compounds. They warned that they would overheat too quickly, were unpredictable at times, and often had a very narrow operating window in which drivers could push their cars to the limit.

Obvious answer: Infiniti. How many people would notice?

At least they’re less subtle about the product placement now.

There’s this at least:

Alternative headline: Man who benefits directly from increased car prices wants to convince people to keep paying increased car prices

I didn’t see much about options or menus (I know, not usually a focus in game reviews). That’s my biggest gripe for Grid 2019, since it was such a downgrade from Grid Autosport. No practice, “one lap” qualifying (that you could simply restart anyway...), very limited tuning, no upgrades, etc etc. It was gorgeous and
