The money currently transferred to other states by CA is far more than $1T, so that wouldn’t be a problem. The electricity required for desalination might be an issue, but it could be done. Water would not be an obstacle to the Calexit process (although there are plenty of others).

Or they could spend some of the money currently funnelled to the Federal Government to the red states into desalination plants. Lots of water in the ocean.

PROTIP: the guys who were banned are professional gamers. It is a job for them. On the major circuits (NA, EU, CN, KR) these guys make 6 figures. On the minor league circuits (OCE, BR, etc.) they make a lot less.
