No, but it’s 2017. So 1939 was 78 years ago.

Counterpoint: plain vanilla is delicious.
That comment was actually.....really comical. If that was a joke, kudos. Either way, it made me laugh. So......thanks? I guess.
Dude, it’s called the “Women’s March on Washington.” I didn’t even know men were invited. I hadn’t checked the Facebook group. I’m supportive of women’s issues, but I’m also aware that men getting involved with women’s groups, without being explicitly invited, is often seen (justifiably) as butting in.
So you came here to nag this doc/movie tossing around the race card. The best you can do is add absolutely nothing to conversation except pair it with LOL and smh. You’re a real social justice warrior.
Okay again I’ll bite, why racist?
I’ll take Wanda Sykes for this doc. But, the rest aren’t at the same level yet. I love Zamata and Jones alot but they aren’t at the top of standup and right now they are spending more time on sketch comedy.
coca brown was in the trailer, is she not black?
Fine with me. Throw the book at them.
Weird. I think you telling Ellen DeGeneres how to be publicly gay is quite the take, too.
I think it was the best approach. Simple, tactful, classy and to the point. I know in today’s bizzaro world that just doesn’t jive... but not everything warrants an angry rant / mob swarm / airhorn
I would suggest she’s been more helpful to the gay community by virtue of her brand being non-polarizing and likable. People who may otherwise find gay people foreign or scary might find Ellen relatable.
Dude, I understand what you’re saying, but I think you lack an appreciation for subtle moves, and how damaging they can actually be. Acting nice about being mean (ie rightfully kicking Burell off the show) is a classic move.
Her audience includes A LOT of children. What wording was she supposed to use on what is essentially family daytime tv? “She said not nice things about homosexuals, so I didn’t want her on my show”, is a perfectly clear Ellen ass kicking to everyone but you, it would seem.
I think she’s ‘walked the walk’ more than enough in her career that she can pick her battles and how to win them. Burrell was awful and she wasn’t rewarded for that. Ellen earned her national platform and gets to decide who she shares it with. There wasn’t any need to punch down. That’s how Trump operates, not Ellen.
Ugh really? You’re coming across like an asshole. You’re better than that
That is accurate. Both are bad. One is worse, but that doesn’t mean the other should be gleefully celebrated.
I’m confused. Because he hasn’t experienced institutional racism, he should be treated poorly due to his race?
Yeah, but look at the results of the North Charleston trial, alas. Shooting evidence on video, and there still was a hung jury.
I mean, sure, she could probably find some gold-digging asshole.
