Hey Dreaming For The Future,

Next games company I work for, I’m going to record all my emails and conversations and then when execs use words like “we have never been particularly pushy in the way we monetise our games” and go “ahem” and direct people to evidence where they have been precisely like this...

I saw maybe 5 minutes of Car Seat Headrest at a festival this year that had some of the stupidest clashes of nearly any festival ever (who puts Beck and Grace Jones on in the same timeslot!?) and was very impressed with what I saw.

As far as the law is concerned, copyright is awarded to the creator in the first instance, unless they work for a company who has rights over what they create. Choreography is a copyrightable activity, but it’s never really been tested. There’s some information here:

I haven’t had appliances breaking, but I kicked a gnome (to death) and my garden continually spawned trash plants after that.

That twitter thread is not a reason, it’s an excuse. It’s a very good and very valid excuse, but people need to understand the difference between “reason” and “excuse”.

No, I’m not attached to this game at all. I’m most likely not going to play it, but because of that I have absolutely no opinion on it. Even if I did, I’d keep it to myself.

I really don’t give a fuck what you think if you’re one of these morons who attack game developers before games are even out, displaying your ignorance on how games are made.

What the hell is up with supposedly professional and well paid people tweeting this kind of garbage at one another? When did this kind of behaviour become acceptable?

No, people should shut the fuck up until the game is out and they (or their trusted reviewers, whether that be friends, colleagues or websites like Kotaku, RPS or whatever) have played the game themselves...

It’s interesting to me that Matt Booty is announcing he’s acquiring mid-sized studios.

Nah, fuck this pretentious and privileged noise.

Yeah, but for a lot of people Trump is a good president, so, you know...

“This is the norm for kids. Instead of hanging out at the drive-in they’re all online.”

Why does Kotaku keep doing this?

Great article!

Yes, because this confidential leak hurt Rockstar’s bottom line so much with the launch of this product...

Speaking of Ikaros - given both Odyssey and RDR2 have the same eagle noises, but one is used to inform you of ‘something’ and the other is background noise is one of the most annoying things I’m adjusting to.

I had a similar thing happen with that woman... I was on a cart I was taking to the fence and she got shitty because I was going the wrong way, jumped off the moving cart, and into the way of another cart...

This is in reply to this line specifically:
