Now if only the people making the games would do the same...
Like fair pay for hours worked, holidays, health care, proper payment for injuries sustained at work, expenses for attending work in uniform?
I stopped playing, because more fun games came along. I’m sure I’ll pick it up once I stop enjoying Assassin’s Creed, Sims 4, Overwatch, Civ 6, and Cities Skylines (which are taking up all my time at the moment)
Wait, Trump doesn’t drink?
He means himself.
I agree with the assertion about how well Overwatch runs. I was surprised at how well Overwatch ran on my now 5 year old desktop, which is probably the equivalent of new laptops now.
And the “real” gamers believed that the “camwhores” were stealing views from their hard-working male counterparts, who were not blessed with enough cleavage to entice new subscribers.
Basically the judge is doing what the parents should be doing, and grounding the little brat.
Good.
Are you ranting like this at the parents of the kids in Game of Thrones or Stranger Things or Harry Potter? What about at the parents who are sending their kids to play for national sports teams in international competitions?
“It has to be Bundaberg Rum”
BTW I am in no way validating this politician’s screed. It’s the usual reactionary rubbish from politicians after such incidents. We have huge amounts of evidence which show games don’t directly lead to violence.
(American culture, on the other hand...)
Interesting how the Kotaku crowd rage when politicians dare criticise and suggest games be restricted when it comes to violence, but are perfectly happy to support the same considerations when it comes to “gambling”.
I guess money is really the root of all evil...
I find the attire potion of this to be problematic. After all, this stems from American prudishness, and yet Twitch touts itself as a global service.
There are two definitions of criticism, and you are demonstrating the incorrect one if you really are a fan and want Kotaku to improve:
Or you could, you know, simply ignore the articles you don’t like or read another website.
I’m glad they fixed up the diplomacy. I had a game where I had two friends / allies from really early on, but they wouldn’t actually sign a defence pact, so when the other civs ganged up on me, they did nothing.
I’ll play them all apart from the snipers.
Play on console with player’s voices muted. And play at times when Europeans and Australians are playing.
they ALSO now know when to actually put these to use, and not to “shoehorn” them into everything they make
