It definitely keeps the “pay more attention” part but the Mainichi Shimbun article changes the “we weren’t sensitive” to “because of carelessness”. (Or doesn’t change it, I don’t know. I wonder if the New York Times quote was made in Japanese and translated into English for the NY Times or made in English to the NY…
I checked Mainichi Shimbun and only saw a short statement quoted from the New York Times itself which doesn’t mention the “we weren’t sensitive enough” part but instead changes it to “because of carelessness”. (I don’t think those are the same)
I am trying to feel bad for the Saints but as a Falcons fan, I don’t give a damn.
It’s what happened with JD Martinez last year, and it resulted in the Red Sox getting him for a bargain-basement five years and $110 million.
Clemson players entered as White House band played a jazz rendition of Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean.
Isn’t that the same thing?
The headline and first paragraph could make it seem that she was apologizing for being attacked, which isn’t the case. The reason for the apology was the time honored reason of “causing trouble” to the company. Obviously, she has stuff she wants to say but the management company has one way or the other silenced her.
“I gotta go get the briefcase out of my car.”
Did I not just thoroughly demolish the whole “there is no reason to” idea?
I have two main arguments: there is no reason to fix a fight to make Tenshin look terrible, Tenshin got hit with real punches. I assume that Rizin thought Floyd would just goof around for most of the fight and not take it seriously. Which is exactly what happened until Tenshin actually punched Floyd. After that, Floyd…
I do.
Please explain who this fight benefits by being a work and playing out like it did?
People are obviously struggling with the reason you fix a fight. And it isn’t to embarrass your home-grown fighter. Sure, there were a lot of early Pride fixed fights but those were to make the Japanese fighters look good: see Takada, Shoji and Yoshida. If they were going to fix this fight, they should have just had a…
Um, is this article suggesting the fight was fixed? I would love to hear the reason that Rizin would want the face of their company (to appear) to be stomped out in humiliating fashion.
Hmm, weird. I don’t remember where and when I downloaded it but thought it was a PS Plus free game. Please disregard my original post.
So, did Cal also throw an interception after that TCU triple pass cock-up? Because they obviously didn’t score on the ensuing drive starting at the TCU 15.
Is Steep the whole game or another demo, like Hitman?
This story is full of so much bullshit. (Or missing vital facts)
Or stand-up comedians will joke about ANYTHING, especially with one another because people in that line of work don’t actually believe that hardly anything is actually off limits
