I mean, most of the thread isn’t that.

There’s no situation where collecting evidence then calling police is more Karen than calling over your buds to come help you. Your initial post said enough.
Except it’s not really cringe is it? In scooby doo, the cops arrest the suspects at the end. You’re mistaking cringe with accuracy. Saying “nobody should care” is cringe.
Isn’t the core gameplay basically assault and battery? If you want to bring the real world into this, everyone on the roster should technically be arrested.
CAN’T BE DONE. CONTENT.
“Controversial”
The guy who Tweeted literally wrote not to take his Tweet “too seriously” after a while.
I’m VERY cautious about this. TFTB was so good because Gearbox DIDN’T write it. I’ve never seen a more clear case of another company better understanding an IP than the creator.
If this is largely written by the Tell Tale team, we’re good. If Gearbox writers are allowed in that writing room... I doubt they’ll capture…
Pretty sure the same thing has been said about books, chess, tv, radio, sports, video games, etc, etc.
ok but have you watched jerma/ read the article
Nothing to do with it being new. I love new things. Tik Tok is stupid because it is basically the same thing as Vine, it is owned by the Chinese government and it perpetuates stupidity more than any other source. I mean the fact that teens are using it to get their news is fucking scary. It really is a nightmare…
I just hate Tik Tok.
From the outside looking in, this game continues to be a fever dream
“goku gets a dub with the kamehameha then hits the griddy”
Hi, um, what?
I hate those cringy tiktok dances so much...
You always could pet Cerberus
“punching down” applies when you focus only on marginalized targets that can’t fight back. What GTA does is far different, they come out swinging like a drunk in a bar brawl, they’re punching up at the government more than they’re punching down, but they’re throwing punches every which way. I don’t know how you can…
gotta say not a fan of them being “more culturally sensitive” because game studios really don’t have a great track record when it comes to attempting to do that, plus that’s not why fans play GTA, myself included. It’s supposed to be offensive, that’s the entire point.
but not all depictions of non-white people have to automatically be political.
I’ll start this by saying that anyone is free to feel insulted by whatever they feel insulted by. But I - an Asian-American living in a third world country - really think this criticism is stretching a bit.
