Probably true, but those other three perfectly road-worthy cars are not street legal in any state so I can’t be bothered to look any deeper into the matter.

Honestly, I’ve agreed with you 100% until you implied that they’ll be able to fulfill all their pre-orders in the next two years and start selling to real customers. The only way they’ll fulfill all their pre-orders in two years is if half of them cancel.
You make some good points, but I think we already know what an EV buyer wants because we’ve had hybrid cars around for a few decades now. People that are really concerned about gas mileage are currently spending between $25-50k on hybrids and have been for a while now so the answer to “do they want this or that” is…
Just a friendly reminder that This is street legal in the US because it’s a “motorcycle” that doesn’t need to be crash tested:
Because electric cars are objectively better in just about every way. The problem is no one buys them because they’re too expensive, but they’re too expensive because no one buys them. The tax credit’s intended use was to make the prices competitive so that they could legitimately be cross-shopped against ICE’s and…
The problem is that EVs could never be conventionally competitive without volume. No one would buy them because they’re too expensive, but they’re only too expensive because no one is buying them.
THIS is what needs to happen. Charge the real cost for ICEs and people will follow with their dollars. That said, PLEASE DON’T DO THIS because I love my ICEs.
“I used to smoke pot with Johnny Hopkins.”
That would make sense. Everything the man knows about the President’s job comes from watching daytime television and what do you see there? Brief interviews and photo ops. You don’t see any of the long hours and, you know, actual work required by the job. In his mind, the president’s job is done after he’s given an…
Who cares? Corvette racing cares quite a lot and they have a very strong relationship with the Corvette design/manufacturing teams so it wouldn’t be at all surprising that they would push a mid-engine concept.
I feel like the “militant” atheism is really just a response to the pressure that’s put on people to be religious. I know when I first acknowledged my own atheism and reflected on my life growing up, I was pretty pissed off with how I had been lied to and manipulated into following what these people wanted me to…
Well I like that Ticketmaster exists, so if they need to collect a service fee to cover their costs and stay in business, then yes, I do like paying the fee.
The civic is a “pop off interior trim piece and remove two bolts” job. Replaced two on my wife’s car and it was incredibly easy. I’d argue that it is worth it to buy the more expensive part if you’re doing the paint matched option though. On the SI/R models, Honda uses different paint colors than the EX/LX models and…
YMMV. My Boxster just got hit while parked and the front bumper cover alone was $1200 unpainted. Dented bumper + damaged hood = $2600 in parts + another $2200 in labor and paint... Good to have good insurance.
You’re entitled to compensation for the damage caused. That doesn’t mean you have to fix it.
Honda in particular sells a lot of pre-painted body components which is great for do-it-yourself types of collision repairs. Had that mirror not been pre-painted, the repair costs would probably be more in the ballpark of a grand simply because of the amount of labor involved in masking/prepping/priming/painting.
This is 100% correct. I pay my insurance company to do the work of dealing with all the hassles that come with car damage. By trying to deal with some other party on my own, I’m A) not getting my money’s worth out of my insurance policy and B) less likely to be treated in a favorable way because I’m not the customer…
Turo.com Good luck.
It’s a month to month rental service catering to people that make can cover the month’s expense with a day’s worth of pay and can afford the pause fee after an hour. It’s not for people that would even ask how much the daycare costs when they sign the kids up.
