Doesn’t the phrase “making a come back” imply that there’s an increase in desire or popularity? This is more of a case of “it wasn’t there and now it is and no one cares.”

I was thinking the same thing. Like, please let this be a very convincingly acted troll because that would be fucking hilarious.
Being able to save enough money to put a down payment on a super cheap house and/or trailer does not make one wealthy. The amount you can save is a function of how much you make AND how much you spend. My wife and I saved up that amount in less than a year while working in retail/restaurants and we were far from well…
As I mentioned to someone else, writing code for control systems and error handling is inherently wordy especially when it has to be able to prevent shutting down in as many fault cases as possible. It’s a lot easier to write lean code when you can handle a failure by simply printing a failure code.
Writing code for control systems and error handling is an inherently wordy process especially when you need the level of robustness required when a human life is on the line. My bet is on 80% of the code being related to those two things. But I do appreciate your snark.
Part of the reason there are so many lines of code in a car is simply because you have several different systems that run, for the most part, independently. But yes, I agree that the number of lines isn’t the only measure for complexity, but it’s about the only one that is freely shared and doesn’t require significant…
I didn’t mean to come across argumentative. I agree with you entirely. The whole thing is a clusterfuck and I’m always shocked when people act like it should be easy for them to just make all the replacement parts.
Glad I kept this .gif on my clipboard.
Starred for pre-GM badge.
2nd gear is kinda stating the obvious, isn’t it. We’re in the process of recalling pretty much the entirety of Takata’s production output for a decade and a half. If it took them 15 years to make that many, why the hell would we think they can all of a sudden make that many in one year? Most manufacturers of any type…
I don’t know that’s completely true. Phone companies A) contract out all of their manufacturing, they literally build nothing and B) (most) simply modify existing operating systems developed outside of their organization. The only phone companies that developed their own operating systems are two companies who got…
I would love it if they did change his award to “Man of the Year” and then named a woman as “Person of the Year.” Only then would he realize that one envelopes the other.
Don’t forget the intelligence briefings.
Doomsday device you say? I suppose I could let one go.
The Air Force and the Navy control all the contracts for ICBM development/deployment. World’s Dumbest Man is only in charge of nuclear engineering.
I have the same thoughts. Then I get in my 9-3 lift-back and all is right in the world.
I was going to argue about whether or not you have nice beaches, but I’m thinking that’s too objective. Philly though... Philly is just objectively awful.
Lol, Ok. How’s that beach been lately?
*Godslow.
