So you’re saying it would have been forgivable for an 18 year-old to be driving around without pants and watching porn on his phone. Man, I grew up in the wrong generation.

You’re right for the most part, but for autonomous cars to have a smooth transition, they need to be in an environment with no non-autonomous cars. Humans are unpredictable and the software can only do so much to avoid an accident with one of us idiots behind the wheel of another car. Just like every electric car fire

That would be cool, but with it being a throwback to the 70s Opel GT, I don’t think that will happen (assuming it actually goes into production that is). The BIG engine in that thing was a 1.9L that made 102hp at its best. The later 1.9s only made 87hp. You could actually get the thing with a 1.1L that made <70hp too.

Took some bicep, but I agree. Those headlights may very well have been the best part about that car.

This is neither platform. Those chassis are designed to handle 500+ lb-ft of torque and would be severely over-designed for a car with 143hp. The chassis alone on those cars probably exceed 1000kg.

It looks like a Camaro doing it’s best impression of a balloon.

Speaking of the original GT, lever-actuated pop-up headlights or I’m out.
