A friend of a friend insists on being referred to as “ahumanperson”. I kid you not. Try working that into conversation... “Have you heard from Jennifer?” “Yeah, she...uh, I mean..ahumanperson called me last night.”Since that’s incredibly awkward and difficult to remember, we now just use ahumanperson’s name...Jennifer

I have never wavered in my desire to see Bernie get the nomination and go on to be President. I get to vote in for him this Tuesday, and I seriously can’t wait. With that said, I’m sickened/enraged/flummoxed by the way some of these media clowns (with apologies to actual clowns for dragging you down) characterize

Please read them. They are deep, hilarious and very descriptive of the human spirit.

Thanks for the chart! I just started reading Small Gods and now I know where to go next. :D

Rincewind? Is that you?

Totally agree with you on Small Gods. Equal Rites is technically the beginning story for the Witches, but I agree that starting with Wyrd Sisters is a much better idea. I love that book. Best parody of Macbeth ever. And such a good opening:

Highly recommend Discworld. Terry Pratchett is somewhat responsible for making me a humanist, or at the very least teaching me valuable lessons.

First paragraph of wiki wizzard: “He spends just about all of his time running away from various bands of people...he was born with a wizard’s spirit”

I totally had to Google this one, though. I’m just repeating what the internets tell me, so I really can’t take any credit.

If that were the primary issue, why wasn’t the headline, “Cops and Austin Paper Misuse Pronouns” and why was the lede buried?

Seconded. Attenborough or GTFO.

Fuck no. No one replaces the Attenburough.

They’ll just move to Pilsen in “solidarity” with the residents there who are scared of the impending wave of gentrification, all while paying $1000 for a studio and eagerly awaiting the opening of a Whole Foods.

Both.

I believe they’re students at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, meaning they’re well off enough (or in debt enough) to afford to go to art school. They also live in Humboldt Park and Logan Square, two neighborhoods that have been gentrifying for the last 10-20 years. Assuming these ladies are of

“We are calling them actions because it brings a level of seriousness and attention to the social justice aspects,” Jessica Caponigro, told Chicagoist. “We’re not sitting around playing dress up.”

When whites don’t want other races living in their neighborhoods then that’s racism. When other races don’t want whites living in their neighborhoods, then that’s “gentrification”.

Wouldn’t the witches be considered gentrifiers by many? Or do they define gentrifiers as “people who richer than me?”

No respect for a method actor these days.

He has not been convicted of anything. If we start banning people from occupations based on accusations then whats the point of a justice system.

Good for him. Poor guy lost 3 years of his life over an internet argument. lol
