What, like any of them? Not even people like child survivors of sexual assault by members of the Catholic church. Those would certainly fit the definition of persecuted American Christians. Or are those downtrodden members of that social worthy of your empathy. If so, where do you draw the line? At what point does

Well, the commenter specified downtrodden white men. I don’t know about you, but to feel such antipathy toward a social group to the point you can’t even feel empathy for those of that group who are in grinding poverty, even if that social group as a whole may be more privileged than others, strikes me as particularly

Your compassion knows no bounds. Any other ethnic groups you don’t like?

My wife dislikes her because she’s a big Pride and Prejudice fangirl and doesn’t like KK’s version because KK is too pretty to be ... the main girl, whatever her name is (I am not such a big fan of P&P as you may be able to tell).

It’s not common, but yes, firefighters are specifically targeted and murdered occasionally:

I have no problem with a hate-crime modifier for crimes against Police officers motivated by their status as Police officers.

I honestly wish I did believe in God. When I was young I went to a Methodist church. Neither of my parents were religious, but they wanted me to have the choice, so they dropped me off there every Sunday.

Yeah, I know a few Italians. Behaviour checks out. See also: Spanish and Greek.

Another blatant example of mansplaining.

Stop actually checking things and just get outraged, damnit. Do you not understand how this works?!?

Well, it’s my favourite movie of all time, so I kinda agree with that bit. I won’t say it’s as good a movie as, say, Schindler’s List or 12 Years a Slave, but it’s certainly one I enjoy watching more.

What part of a person writing a couple of paragraphs once a week and being able to afford a wardrobe full of Manolo Blahniks in an apartment in the middle of New York did you feel was unrealistic?

Yeah, Aliens, Terminator 1+2, and Fury Road are all great films. But then, I also love The Shawshank Redemption which is about as chick-absent as it’s possible to be.

Yeah, my takeaway from the article is “Why are 70% of raters men?” Women need to step up their rating game.

Or someone who may not feel comfortable renting to men. Particularly if she is particularly devout member of her religion which may have rules about co-habiting outside of marriage.

I believe we have the same exemption in the UK as well. An owner-occupier can refuse to rent a room to someone based on their sex/ethnicity/religion. I can kinda see why. A woman may not feel comfortable renting a room to a man, particularly if the woman’s culture frowns on unmarried people of the same sex

Yeah! When will these moderate Muslims condemn the actions of the extremists among them? I mean, apart from all the times they do condemn them. They should be condemning them louder! It just goes to show there is no such thing as a moderate Muslim!

How are you with voter ID laws?

Please tell her while she’s in the pool.
