Agreed on the solution. I don’t agree that she made very good decisions with regards disposal of the foetus though. Desperate people take desperate, often stupid, measures. There needs to be better support and better advertised support. But then, can you advertise abortion services/charities in a country where

Oh, I didn’t mean change your picture to someone else, but at least make it so your infidelity isn’t googleable. Plus it’s a chance for a fun new name. I hear Carlos Danger is taken though.

Just like pulling a band-aid, I guess (having never been in that position myself).

Ok, first of all:

Marriage.

Yeah, you should tell her. She needs to know sooner or later, and it won’t get any easier later. At least that’s my take.

I don’t know how Tinder works specifically (married for 9 years now) but could it be an old profile? Or do they only show active ones?

In the UK, sick leave is unlimited and you don’t need to show a doctor’s note for absences of less than 7 days. There are measures in there to prevent abuse of this system, but a company cannot fire you for taking sick leave without opening themselves up to legal action.

Yeah, I have no problem saying they were criminally negligent. It’s fine to have a line in snake oil, but when things get potentially life threatening, the patient should be taken to an actual doctor.

Insurance fraud.

I think she’s getting at the potential for “crying wolf”, if an accusation without a conviction is enough to get you out of a contract.

Even for trash (I’m not familiar with NY politics) if you get one piece of legislation per term like this, it won’t be long until NY catches up with the rest of the Western world.

They don’t inherently deserve to be paid less just by virtue of being women. Like I said, they deserve to be paid their worth, just the same as men. If the women’s final of Wimbledon pulls in more ad revenue/ticket sales as the men’s then they should be paid more. If it pulls in less, they should be paid less.

Agreed. I generally agree that your pay should reflect your worth. Women’s football in America is more profitable and more popular than Men’s football.

Not so much because breasts; men actually get fined for the same thing, because Sponsors. There are a lot of cameras on you when you score a goal and your pictures end up everywhere. Sponsors pay a lot of money to ensure their brand is in that picture.

Yeah, that’s the whole conundrum though, isn’t it? Do you take the moral high ground and say that “We shouldn’t need these facilities. These facilities are placing responsibility on the victimised party. The wider problem needs to be sorted” or do you take the practical shortcut that is admitting you can’t solve the
