Notice we never have this discussion about Martial Arts?

The only criteria for girls is if it sounds right at the end of the phrase “Get your dollar bills ready, next up on the main pole is .....” then you should probably rethink.

So no actual counter argument, then? We had separate changing facilities/showers etc at school, was one unequal to the other? Should we have shared?

That’s a nice little cliche. Now tell me how two groups teaching the same curriculum with staff trained to the same level are not equal.

Well, needlework and cooking are survival skills, which is why they are taught to Boy Scouts too.

That’s very geographically determined. Boy Scout groups in areas with high rates of homophobia are more likely to be homophobic.

But do you do it with a dozen other children their age they can socialise with? There are benefits to these groups.

Do you know who else liked to use shock tactics?

I think the answer is to make Girl Scouts have the same curriculum as Boy Scouts (or visa versa, or a bit of both). I think that as long as no-one is disadvantaged by the gender division it would be fine to keep them gender-based.

This. The contraceptive pill is no more dangerous that the vast majority of OTC pills.

Welcome to the civilised world, California and Oregon.

I’m well past the hookup stage in my life, but I think if a girl left shortly after sex without at least a follow up text saying she had a nice time or whatever, I’d feel pretty bad.

From my cold, dead (greasy) hands, Lady!

I think it’s arguable that many of the affairs are ones of genuine attraction, if not love. For her, the man is rich, likely good looking and in a position of relative power. For him, the woman takes on many roles that would normally be his partner’s; literally caring for his children all day long.

For my part, my entire family (other than my Grandma) is not religious, but my parents made sure I went to Church (methodist) every Sunday because they thought it was important I had a choice and could make up my own minf. I went until I was about 11 or 12 and realised I didn’t really believe in what they were telling

That’s not even Canon is it?

For my grandma’s generation it was 10% of your pay, in cash, weekly. Mill workers were usually paid daily back then.

High Five!

Okay, I understand it now, it was probably me being a bit slow. And yes, that’s good advice.
