Even the idea of sick leave is as implemented in the US sounds terrible to me.

I think if someone believes they are absolutely free from any kind of repercussion then people revert to might makes right. Men are more violent than women because it was necessary to be more violent than women in the not too distant (evolutionarily speaking) past.
Quartz notes that violence against women in Sierra Leone is “commonplace,” and rape rarely results in conviction.
Oh, of course jealousy is universal, but do you still go around comparing yourself to every other man in the room? Do you analyse everything you do to determine if it’s something you want to do our if it’s something the patriarchy compels you to want?
Could be worse. Could be skeletal kittens.
I think something snapped in Rick when that guy was trying to rape Corrrull. Y’know, when he bit out the guy’s throat. That was when the last of his inhibitions died. Now it’s anything for the survival of his group.
The thing is, he’s always right.
I think it’s because the guys have it figured out less that makes it easier. I mean, I can only speak for myself (until my telepathy machine is completed) but probably about 50% of guys in any given room are more attractive than I am, but I’m happily married so it doesn’t bother me. Even when I was single I didn’t…
You can’t spell Ricktatorship without Rick. I like him because he’s such a dick now. Also, I can’t see the character without seeing the actor because I knew him from Teachers first so I always find the contrast funny.
I felt responsible. I told my wife the day before that I thought my favourite character had changed from Glen to Carol (hence the profile pic). The next day I was “Nooooo! I take it back! I take it back! *sobs* I take it baaaaack.....”
“he totally aint though. “
Or worse, they don’t watch the ones you watch.
The more I read Jezebel’s articles the more vicariously exhausted I feel.
Is... Bencarson... gonna... haveto... stababitch?
I’m more interested in the phrase “tried to hit his mother with a hammer”. Tried. As in, was unable to.
Perhaps you are right, I’m not as familiar with US law as I am with UK law.
That’s just disgusting. Such a high pre-requisite for the ‘privilege’ of being able to take time off work unpaid.
This. The government pays back the company for the wages they are paying you so there really is no net loss to the company. I mean it’s not as good of a system as some of the other Northern European systems, but damn, USA... what’s up with that?
As opposed to crypts full of what, kittens?
It sounds like a cop-out but I promise it isn’t, but I’m not overly familiar with the case (UK native here and it was a little before my time [I’m 32]). However, I understand there’s an overwhelming preponderance of evidence against but he managed to get a ‘not guilty’ result.
