I’m so glad he did run on that play. Just so I could lol at the Mets fans in this photo...

Familia came in tonight with a lead. He faced six batters, and got all six out on five pitiful grounders and a strikeout... and he ended up with a blown save. Baseball is so fucking cruel.

I dropped $540 to go to ACLS game two with my father... currently contemplating how much I will be willing to spend to see the banner presentation on opening day.

This is just the best.

I can see from the tone of the comments that the narrative is already that the Mets’ tactical and strategic missteps tonight cost them the series, which is odd because the tone of the fireworks going off here in Kansas City is that the Royals are a superb baseball team that went into tonight’s game with a very

10th inning: Alright....

The KC Royals are the story, not the Mets pitching staff.

Nah, he was great. He got the ground balls he’s supposed to get. I guess you can put the Game 1 loss on him after the Alex Gordon home run, but that’s about it. The Royals are just incredible. This is the same Mets team that made the Cubs look like actual cubs for four nights just over a week ago. KC was the best team

This just in: New York sportswriters discover existence of Kansas City Royals.

This is going to be a dumb storyline and I presume that by this anonymous comment on some blog on the Internet I can kill it right here and now: Harvey was pitching out of his mind. It was perfectly reasonable to let him go out for the ninth. This is not on Collins. It’s not on Familia. And it’s not on Murph. Well,

And the Blue Jays, and the Astros.

(Terry Collins should have become the first manager fired during a game of the World Series

Regular torn is seeing the replay and not being able to tell what the injury is. Badly torn is seeing the replay and screaming in horror.

Perhaps I do, or perhaps you need to read a fucking book.

I’m pretty sure 95% of being a regular season manager is just not being a dick and don’t murder your pitching like Dusty Baker. Stick with slumping players and don’t let the racist on the team punch out the latin or asian guy in the clubhouse. After that the team is pretty much going to manage itself.

Terry Collins is a terrible manager. He said the reason he didn’t use Familia for 6 outs is because he pitched him the night before... in a 6 run lead because he’s an idiot

Actually the U.S. Had thousands of boots on the ground in the ME before 9/11

Yeah because if every foreigner packed up and left ‘their’ land, I’m sure they’d turn into Switzerland two weeks later.

Or- it’s a NY blog writing about a NY team, and histrionics is your default setting.
