Could be an issue, sure, but just jamming them isn’t going to cause the fall out of the sky. As many have mentioned, many drones have lost-link profiles that would take them out of the area. Much safer than just blasting them out of the sky, at any rate

No kidding. But such obstacles can be overcome

It could be limited range, like the anti-IED jammers the military uses, and of course only used in an emergency

Sure, some do, but then they’re out of the area and the firefighters can get to work

You don’t clear the helicopters to come in until the area is clear genius

See my other response for your first paragraph. Destroying the drone is not necessarily the point, area-denial is, so either make it useless to the operator (can’t get video) or send it home.

Didn’t say it was perfect. You’d also have to see what bands you can jam without affecting other communications. Still it might be an effective first line defense against lookie-loos.

You can, however, have a local jammer that blocks whatever the normal frequencies used to control the drones. It wouldn’t necessarily knock them out of the sky, but with the operator unable to control them they’ll crash or drift off site

So, they’re basically libertarians?

Starbuck wasn’t in a raptor when she died, she was in a viper.

“Barely average”? Really? Based on what?

This. During my 15 months in Afghanistan, I ran into this sort of crap time and time again. And not just weapons system. Some douchesnoggle decided it would be a good idea to equip the Afghan army with a computer for every 10 soldiers. This for a force where literacy was around 10%. Wireless data devices for their

Got this for my 13-year-old daughter for her birthday. I am now the Best Dad Ever. I think young teenage girls are the only ones capable of doing those DIY kits properly

The yellow cards carry over matches? I always thought if you got two in one game you were sent off and missed the next game, but if you only got one it went away

How much air/sea power do you think the U.S./Japan has ready to go? Say we have two weeks notice, then maybe an additional carrier and a couple wings from the U.S. Reinforcement takes time. And there are a lot of targets. Plus, again, tunnels

They have a LOT of guns. And a lot are in tunnels, so pretty much impervious to everything but a direct hit. Of course if the DPRK Army advanced more than 30 miles or so that advantage goes away. Of course Seoul would be destroyed by then

Not to mention the 100,000 or so “special forces” they would try to insert in old AN-2 biplanes and minisubs to attack C2 sites, airfields, etc. Hard to see the Colt on radar, since they’re wooden and fly low and slow. I don’t think there’s much doubt about the ultimate outcome, but it would be a hard slog
