That would be a really interesting study/article and I would love to read it.
What I want to see is how many places you can actually live in for $15/hr. I keep hearing about it being a “living wage,” but I’ve zero clue where you could actually pull it off and under what conditions.
The idea that people are looking for the perfect candidate is idotic. That is not to say this article is idiotic.

I know a trust fund kid that took over the family business (something like 4th generation family biz) - the company was profitable, employed hundreds and is a well recognized name here in Canada.
It reminds me of those in the creative class (or merely like to associate with them) with more well heeled family ties that admonish day-jobber artists when the focus on the business end and other practical issues of staying afloat...with a “where’s the passion?”
