Oh wow: The military lied about rape in the military!

$15/hr x 40 hrs/week x 50 wks/year (I’m allowing for 2 weeks of time off) = $30,000/year

That would be a really interesting study/article and I would love to read it.

What I want to see is how many places you can actually live in for $15/hr. I keep hearing about it being a “living wage,” but I’ve zero clue where you could actually pull it off and under what conditions.

The idea that people are looking for the perfect candidate is idotic. That is not to say this article is idiotic.

I just finished binge-watching the whole season today, and while overall I loved it, the Geisha episode sat very poorly with me. I felt like they fell into all the traps they were trying to commentate on and were super condescending to all the valid complaints people had about casual racism in the first season...

I mean they could always choose to starve to death, right? Right?????????????????

Franks red hot

Charlemagne: I have one, I’m a “superpredator,” or I used to be.

but loves actually doing work

Franks is good but I find their viral marketing highly problematic tbh

Frank’s Red Hot is the best hot sauce thank you goodbye.

This is NOT a Disney film. However, it was “Disneyfied” in the traditional sense of glossing over history/changing the ending.

Yeah, it’s a Don Bluth film. Thankyouverymuch.

It’s the real problem with nepotism, isn’t it?

I know a trust fund kid that took over the family business (something like 4th generation family biz) - the company was profitable, employed hundreds and is a well recognized name here in Canada.

It reminds me of those in the creative class (or merely like to associate with them) with more well heeled family ties that admonish day-jobber artists when the focus on the business end and other practical issues of staying afloat...with a “where’s the passion?”

She had the resources to turn down jobs that weren’t “fun.” Most of us don’t have that luxury.
