Is Anker paying to get shown so prominently on a consistent basis, or do you just happen to love all their products? (not saying they are not great)

Haha, I’m hardly Arnold :P

Hmm 24 pounds is not much... 3 months ago I would have been able to use them, kind of, but just training for that period, I now do 50 pounds, and it’s going to keep going up. I guess if you do lots of reps it might work but for quickly building muscle, not so much...

I agree completely, and let’s throw out the old Gentleman/Knight in Shining Armor syndrome too. Stop expecting the guy to ask you out, and if you do go out, go dutch by default (and don’t get disappointed if the guy does not insist on paying). Be a strong woman and don’t expect someone to open doors for you, or help

yes, and for God’s sake don’t let the female be younger either.

Apparently these days, yes. I think there will be a whole lot of women that are disappointed if this catches on, as guys will not dare to date younger women with less money..

So you are describing a vast percentage of adult relationships (with the exception of fame)? (Men are typically older, 10 years not uncommon - and often make more money). When are we drawing the line here? Relationships have always been imbalanced in some aspects. If she worked for him as an assistant, I could see it,

No, I’ve been to Brazil, and the people I met there were insane about keeping their teeth nice. They would brush them at lunch time, and no quick 1 minute brush either. I have never seen whiter teeth than I did there. (of course these were upper middle-class people)

I’m seeing the Hub+remote (which is what this deal is) for $79 at Walmart.

..and now I feel stupid... Contacted support, they set up a refund, and guided me through the steps. In my defense, that “got coupon?” link in gray text was not easy to see, but nevertheless.... DOH.

Well, now I feel jipped....I signed up for Nord VPN, 1 year. No place to put code, then came to paypal where it said, “you can press ok, you still have a chance to review before finalizing” but when I clicked, I was brought back to NordVPN thanking me for signing up. Scam???

I don’t really care what you believe. My point was that my IQ is in the end just one of many factors in terms of being smart and/or competent. I’m pretty sure there are quite a few people with high IQ, especially from the Tech industry that have an interest in Kinja sites, and with time to spare. (If you don’t believe

My point was people that say stuff like “(High) IQ - Owned by people who are covering up a shortcoming”, probably have a low IQ and feel insecure about it themselves - showing the need to say stuff like that in the first place.

Yes, I’m in the software industry and see that a lot too. In fact, one of my colleagues is probably the smartest guy I’ve ever known, but he has no social skills what so ever, and everyone hates working with him.

Well, everyone has IQ.. If you meant “High IQ” though; People claiming that typically score very low on those tests ;)

It is definitely a decent indicator, but it does have limits, especially if you hope to use it to determine competence. I have a 145 IQ, but I don’t find myself competent in any shape, way or form to run a country. It is a great basis, and combined with the proper education and experience, that would go a long way.

I’m guessing this is one of the few cases where I would strongly advise a big spoiler.

Good read, Amy!

Yes and if you listen to radio in Scandinavia, they always play the explicit version, whether it is the n-word or something else. Growing up, I largely ignored the lyrics and just listened to the melody anyways. It is quite different when you live in the US (and have actually grown up I suppose..). I would certainly

why do you give ANYONE a f-in pass???
