Buy a case if you feel the urgent need to drop your iPad.

Now can I see sharks with lasers on their heads shoot an iPad 3 please?

It's a fantastic device... Especially the new AirPlay feature. It's great to be able to browse the web in Safari and play embedded movies on your TV.

I bet the brightness on your screen is turned all the way up. Turn the brightness to about 75% it will cool off.

Not heating up. Not even warm... And I have a Belkin snap shield case covering the back surface. It does not get warm. Must be something wrong with some units. I guess I got lucky.
