@moley89: The point is that it's much easier to stream 720P content over the web than 1080P. The streaming 720P picture typically looks better with fewer compression artifacts and dropouts.

@Rahabib: Google TV does not exist yet and it's not clear that all the content providers are going to cooperate with Google yet.

@Pook365: You can always rip & drag that content into any local machine running iTunes. You can stream the content from any machine running iTunes to the Apple TV box.

@jiveabillion: It does. Simply rip your xvid and divx movies and dump them into iTunes. Apple TV connects to any computer running iTunes and lets you stream content stored on your computer. (Just like NAS)

The comments on this story surprise me. Nearly ALL electric train stations have emergency power shutoff buttons labeled "Emergency third rail power shutoff." These buttons are placed all over the platform so people can use them in an emergency.

Apple already did it. It has water drops under the screen right? ;-)

Joel... I hate to be critical but... You are giving up a car that got 15-20 mpg for one that will get 10-13 mpg. The older Land Cruiser also emits a lot more toxic pollution as well.

AMOLED uses more power. AMOLED also is subject to fading over time. Sort of like plasma burn in.
