Seems like that difference gives Confederate even more of a justification to exist, if anything. Almost everyone understands Nazi Germany was evil, but with a third of America believing the Civil War was about “states’ rights”, it might’ve been nice to have a show that takes off the nostalgia glasses and shows the

Nah, Lizzo. I think the world wants you in it, makin’ catchy records, playin’ historical-ass flutes, and all that shit.
I could be wrong, but i gather that the world just doesn’t want you to be really really shitty to your staff.

Honestly she is probably really worried that the other side in the lawsuit may submit her DNA evidence showing she is 100% “that bitch”. Gonna be hard to defend against that one.

lmao sure, jan...

The scribes at The National Archives say it bears a terrible curse!

But I’m starting to feel like the world doesn’t want me in itbeing the butt of the joke every single time because of how I look…

In this case I don’t think “create” and “adaptation” are mutually exclusive.

“The 3 Body Problem adapters” sounds like peripherals for your PC.

They basically lost interest in Game of Thrones because they were all excited for their next projects, but they forgot that the main reason anyone wanted to give them new projects was because it was assumed they’d stick the landing on Game of Thrones. Oops.

To be clear, I agree. I am not saying that they were flawless directors with no other commitments and Disney just dropped them because S8 wasn’t well received. I am saying that Disney seemed to, for awhile, attach hot directors to their movies and quietly kill the project (if anything even existed beyond an idea) once

I think with them in particular, it wasn’t just that S8 flopped. It was that S8 flopped and they were reportedly given the option to have more episodes and time to improve it and they didn’t take it. I think the talk around that time was that they were supposedly focused on pitching something to Netflix that I think

That outrage was such bullshit. The Man in the High Castle had actual fucking Nazis taking over America, building extermination camps in Cincinnati and Boston and makes a reference to the “enslavement of the African continent”

Was The Man in the High Castle problematic too?

If we’re gonna do this, I’m sure Liu would be surprised to hear he created 3 Body Problem considering he wrote The Three-Body Problem.

well I am ashamed of you for that post! Shame! SHAME!!!

I got the sense for awhile, post-ST, that Disney was floating all these names and soliciting scripts in order to gauge crowd reaction and see what was the safest bet to go forward. Patty Jenkins was doing something on the strength of WW... until WW84 flopped and then she was out. Benioff and Weiss were doing something

Creators of the show. No one -- including Emma -- is implying otherwise, and you are smart enough to know that.

My partner finally talked me into binge-watching Game of Thrones this year. It was my first time watching it. Admittedly, the first few seasons are pretty great, and the last few are visually impressive, but I agree with everyone saying that the last season was rushed. As for Benioff & Weiss, well… yeah, the quality

3 Body Problem is pretty good. But keep in mind, it’s an adaptation, as was GoT... until they got ahead of where the books were. Coincidentally, that’s when the quality started dropping. They can adapt well, but when it comes to coming up with entirely new material they’re untested, at the very least.

I hate to give credit to disney, but they were smart enough to recognize that Benioff is a fraud. Netflix not so much!
