Ha, that was great. Had to translate real quick.

Ford Motor owes the government $5.9 billion it borrowed in June 2009, the same month GM filed for bankruptcy. By Sept. 15, Ford needs to start paying that money back. In a government filing, the carmaker said $577 million is due within the next year, and the full amount must be paid off by June 15, 2022.
I continue to be amazed by this. Handing back the cars and taking the money isnt enough?
There’s a lack of perspective on this whole thing. I bet if VW did that, they’d get accused of “dumping death machines on third world countries!” or something sensationalist. These could probably be sold for sticker price in Beijing and actually improve the air quality there.
That’s a really sad image thinking that all that material will be wasted and new cars will have to be made to replace them (a lot more polluting than a diesel), even selling them to countries where cars pollute as much as these VW’s but they are much less safe and unreliable would be a better solution.
The link he cited is specifically about European far-right nationalists (many of which are openly funded by Putin). Most of those political parties make Trump look like Jimmy Carter.
These are mine :) The W124 is a 1995 E280 with a 5-speed automatic. It’s a fantastic car for long distances - quick, comfortable and very quiet. Unfortunately it’s been neglected by its previous owner and I’m still in the process of getting everything in order.
Probably the most accomplished post war sedan design. Also: dat wagon.
If you find that funny, here’s another one....the Highlander is cheaper than the Land Cruiser. LMFAO, right?
It’s not just China. I know for a fact that Germany, Australia, Switzerland many other countries had these kind of spots for years now. I was actually surprised when I saw some in Frankfurt, they were extra wide and very close to the door.
really? I feel like the grill messes up the lines for the headlights
Question: would Americans be willing to work like Mexicans? Would Americans want the kind of work Mexicans do? Would Americans want the kind of work sweatshops do?
Renault made it.
I’ve seen this before with Japanese market cars. Toyota MR2s had a variety of dealer accessories exclusive to the market. Some had text about “dandism.”
I once brought a non running 1972 XA Falcon GT from a hay shed. It was about 15 years old at the time but in perfect original condition. For anyone not familiar with an XA GT imagine a four door 1972 Mustang. They came standard with a 351 4V, top loader, 9 inch etc. But this one was unusual because it loaded with…
At the end of November we replaced my wife’s 2007 A4 sedan with a 6 month old 2016 CTS Premium 3.6 AWD (it was a company vehicle). The interior looks just like the picture below.
And now let us pay tribute to the only good thing to come out of the EA/Porsche partnership
Traffic sucks, so why not start your morning off with some music? You provide the toast and we’ll provide the jams.
To be fair, GM mismanagement with relatively overpriced subpar products offered at Opel dealers killed Chevrolet in Europe. Cars like the Cruze and Sonic/Aveo are at least as much to blame as the Orlando.
Aging the four personas 16 years, it’s quite troubling:
