The problem with many poor white people is that they refuse to acknowledge that they are actually poor. Which is why they repeatedly vote against their own interests. Then they want to point the blame at everyone other than themselves when things continue to not work out for them. When their food stamps get taken

And frankly, I’m sick of people blaming Trump’s win on ‘poor disaffected whites’ -- white people of every stripe, educational level and financial status voted for him in droves.

“Let’s face it, he’s going to look out for corporations, to make things work for them, to bring jobs back home,” Terry said. “And as things trickle down — as they’re going to because it’s America — the little guy will get something, too.”

So he’s treating the President of the United States like a gym teacher treats a fat kid?

I can’t feel sorry for them either. Trump never at any point told them how he’d build the damn wall, and clearly these people have a...negative, like -% understanding of politics and diplomacy. It’s all very simplistic. It’s all very student council president: “I’m going to make the school lunch people serve us pizza

They got what they voted for. He was never going to build a wall. He was never going to lock up Clinton. He was never going to create jobs. He was never going to end the pay gap for women. The only thing he was going to do was likely going to take part in the GOP desire to take away Medicare.

I guess they believe if you chant “lock her up” long enough she will be jailed? Same goes for “drain the swamp” and “build the wall” I guess?

Newsflash; people who can’t tell they’ve been conned surprised when it turns out they’ve been conned.

I really don’t get it. Nothing Trump promised was actually legit. Clinton didn’t do anything illegal. What could anyone have done to her? Even the FBI exonerated her (albeit with bullshit investigations and even too late). Are they really that shocked?! Can they be so dumb?

Why did you spell alcohol w-e-e-d?

Wow, you’re a moron.

Thank god that man had a gun to defend himself from the other man who was apologizing. Things might have gotten out of hand.

This is the society we keep opting for. The society we keep promoting through our choice of elected officials.

There was a time when that wasn’t the case. The Oakland A’s have a storied history, and used to have a rabid fanbase. In fact, I’m sure that fanbase is still there just waiting for a product worth rooting for. The Giants resurgence to relevancy came with two things 1) Barry Bonds and 2) the new park. Prior to those

When I have worked a cash register, we were always told that if we were robbed, just give them everything. Plus, we always had other responsibilities such as cleaning and stocking while we were running the register, so walking away from one would not be an issue.

This is a weird story that doesn’t really make a whole lot of sense as presented.

Well, technically speaking, the store can throw people out for any reason whatsoever. If the employees on duty say a person’s trespassing, then they are. Even if it’s for a profoundly stupid reason that has “lawsuit” written all over it. The cop doesn’t get to decide if that reason’s stupid or not.

No, the employee who was acting as the agent of the store told the police officer the customer was trespassing, and the police had no choice but to remove them.

Also, so the cop helped them until they suddenly became a threat?
